The original themes of the series of International Workshops on Accurate
Solution of Eigenvalue Problems arose in the intersection of two fields,
matrix eigenvalue/singular value computation, and, more generally, fast and
accurate matrix computation.
The organizers were Jesse Barlow,
Krešimir Veselić
and Ivan Slapničar.
Meanwhile, the scope has expanded to include large scale and nonlinear
eigenvalue. Organizing committee expanded, as well, to
include Volker Mehrmann
and Zlatko
Drmač.
All workshops have similar format:
there are no parallel sessions and research presentations are
30 to 40 minutes, each with sufficient time for discussion. Specially
titled discussion/working groups and poster sessions are also
organized, and the prize for best poster is usually given.
